How much magnesium is in MG+?

5 spray actions equate to 1ml of concentrated magnesium (31%) That’s a dosage of 103mg pure magnesium.
50 mg per 1 ml/5 sprays.

Can Magnesium Oil be used for children?

Yes, this may be added to their bath or rubbed on their skin. But skin test a small amount first – the same as adults.

Why Are We Lacking Magnesium?

Magnesium deficiency is widespread because many of us have lifestyle factors that actively deplete our magnesium levels such as lack of sleep, excess stress, or alcohol/caffeine/sugar consumption. On top of that, many natural sources of magnesium are becoming depleted. Our soil contains less magnesium due to over-farming and high pesticide use. Water filtration systems also remove much of the naturally occurring magnesium in water.

why does this magnesium oil cause burning/tingling on some people?

One theory is that those who are deficient will have a tingling or burning reaction to magnesium oil. You may notice that it seems to irritate more at first and that soon you adjust. People with very sensitive skin may experience some slight stinging – this will go away after you rinse it off. For people with very sensitive skin use a 50/50 dilution.

Magnesium Oil actually an oil?

No, this is a common misconception. Magnesium Oil is a term used for a highly saturated solution of magnesium chloride in water. It just happens to present itself in an oil-like texture due to its hygroscopic nature (attracts water).

Can I use Magnesium Oil as a massage oil?

Yes, it helps melt away those knots and spasms whilst increasing the absorption of magnesium. You can customize your massage by adding essential oils. Shake the bottle to mix the liquids before spraying.

Can I get too much magnesium through Magnesium Oil?

As long as your kidneys are healthy and functioning properly any excess magnesium derived from Magnesium Oil will be excreted.

What is Zechstein inside?

Mg+ Magnesium Oil is a highly concentrated ultra pure magnesium chloride brine from the former Zechstein Sea found deep under the Netherlands. As a result of its extraordinary purity, Zechstein Magnesium Oil has been available since 2007 as a ready-for-use solution for health and wellness without further processing.

Zechstein Magnesium Oil is constantly subjected to chemical analyses. In this manner, the purity and pharmaceutical quality of every batch is documented and guaranteed.

Are there any studies demonstrating the effectiveness of external application of magnesium?

The study quoted most often in terms of the effectiveness of transdermal (external) magnesium application is one by Dr. Norman Shealy. "Transdermal Magnesium Therapy" 2005, Southern Medical Association, p. 18. Using measurements of the intracellular magnesium levels, Shealy demonstrated that for transdermal application the magnesium level normalises within 4 to 6 weeks when compared to oral ingestion, where the same result requires 6 to 12 months. An additional study has been performed by Watkins K. and Josling.

"A pilot study to determine the impact of transdermal magnesium treatment on serum levels and whole body CaMg ratios", The Nutrition Practitioner, Spring 2010. Based on hair analyses, a mean increase in magnesium content of 59.7% was found in 89% of subjects after a 12-week application of magnesium oil. In addition, all subjects displayed an improved calcium-magnesium ratio.
